just need to put some Autosol on the exhaust pipes :poke: then it will be perfect
The inside of Alpina exhaust tips are supposed to be black - that's how they come from the factory...

I try and keep on top of her every week makes it easier :)

Hardest part is cleaning those wheels.....
Coating of gtechniq c5 works wonders - quick blast with pressure washer, then spray with Surfex HD at about 1:10 dilution, detailling brush for bolt holes, around valve and spoke corners, medium wheel woolie for between spokes, large wheel woolie for most of the barrel, angled wheel woolie for back of spokes, noodle mitt for face of wheel. Another blast with pressure washer. Dry with mf cloths or blow dry with my metro blaster sidekick

Glad to hear that, I'm getting #308 ready for Silverstone & was wondering how to clean them up, now I only have to shine the outside
Didn't find the wheels too hard to clean but will look into the suggestions for coating them.

Yeah, C5 is great but, like all coatings, it bonds to the paint so, before using it you need to get the paint really clean, it's best to remove each wheel and do a really thorough clean and dry.

I would give them a going over with Tardis (to remove any road tar), wash & rinse, wipe dry, IronX (to get rid of bonded metallic contaminants), wash & rinse, and then spray on Surfex HD (degreaser) and agitate it with a detailling brush, then a good rinse down and get them completely dry.

Your car looking nice and shining AlpinaBoy.

I better go out and start cleaning the wheels ready for Silverstone.

Yours wouldn't be the first that have had the insides polished up at some point - once they've been polished you just need to keep the insides clean & shiny with autosol or britax metal polish and some 000 wire wool
