afternoon all, gave my zed a quick clean...and I'm getting fed up of my alloys. they're corroding...doesn't look good...images to follow. do I just new wheels? get them refurbished? how much could that cost? until the wheels are done the car will never feel right to me.

also there's a 116i and Mini about that were off the forecourt attending to other business. we're quite the BMW family :D

Refurb and some new badges definitely required. £60-80 per wheel. Badges - probably about £20 each from a dealer :o

How can you let the E30 rot :(

Would love a E30 325i Sport

Get the wheels refurbed though, Lepsoms always come out tops for quality.

I had my 108s refurbed in Hawley and they were in a shocking state but good as new now
On another note, did you car come with the boot spoiler or was that a mod? I like it!

dad's been to busy to clean it up. it's off the road...it's a right restore job.

Lepsoms? how do they work? i don't think i'm in the best locale for some places, wrexham.

I'll get new badges of ebay. should be a lot cheaper.

car came with it, wasn't too sure about it at first...but it makes it a little different to the other zeds out there.

My experience with Lepsons has been slightly disappointing. Had my 107s refurbished and had to send one back due to a fault in the paint hardening process which meant a finger nail could be easily pressed into it! :? One of the other wheels has a slight paint run on one of the spokes and two others have raised 'bits' in the paint in a couple of areas. I've not sent those back because to be honest, I've lost heart. Maybe I'm being over critical but I'm underwhelmed by them to be honest.
Just goes to show any firm is only as good as their last job.
But to answer your question definately get them refurbed.

eBay is good - you can actually get genuine new style centre caps from BMW on eBay for about £9.99 each, or a full set of genuine ones from other sellers for £34.99. Been looking into this as I am considering going back to standard after having my carbon body badges nicked. I would definitely go for OEM if you stick with blue/white, as I think the cheaper ones are not as good a fit. I got carbon wheel caps and they were a tiny bit loose so needed a little silicone to hold them in.

not bad £35 for OEM. seen a refurb place near mine on the net, will take a visit down there on my day off this week. see what they're quoting...

but really need to get myself a new gear knob...gonna get the zhp. heard good things about them!

A bare metal refurb will bring them up as good as new. Quite a few people buying and selling on here as well if you fancy a change of style

bare metal reufrb? what's that?

I do like the 107's. don't think i could lose them

save starting a new thread,
does anybody know where I can get a list of commands so i can programme my key fob? or what can programming can be done? as the battery in my main key died and needed charging, now I think it needs re-programming!
