I know there are loads of topics on tyres and stuff, but still a bit confused when it comes to choosing the right wheels and tyres!
Anyway, I have M3 CSL reps at the moment, if I am right, these are 19x8 et45 in front and 19x9.5 et27 at the back ? I believe I have 225/35 at the front and 265/30 at the back.
With some decent lowering, these fit perfectly but now my car is eating my rear tyres for breakfast! My car is a non-M 2.2i
Anyway, I fancy a change and would like to go back to 18 inch wheels for a better ride in combination with less extreme lowering. I don't want to mess around with spacers so would like a flush fit front and back. I was thinking for example something like 18x8 et15 at the back and 18x8 et34 in front. This way I can take the same tyres all round (225/40?) and swap them when they are worn at the back. Or is it still better to go with staggered sets? I'm thinking that with my 2.2i I would be better of with narrow and lighter wheels for better performance?
:?
I have seen these in the setup as mentioned above...
