Question for camera geeks

I love tapping into the fountain of knowledge on this forum , so many minds & great info on all topics so here,s another plea from me
Its not my department or even store so i,m in the dark here completely .
Looking for a camera for my daughter (17) to take videos as well as stills . She,s studying media make up so wants to upload some of her work to the web etc .

The Nikon is £99.99 at Argos. I believe it is being superceded by the L820.
 
I've got the first one (Nikon) and it does what I want it to do. It was £140 when I bought mine this time last year.
You need a steady hand when using the zoom which I guess is the same with any camera.
