Question: Are E85 Z4m Roadster's front fogs

Taz said:
so for those that upgrade to an M bumper do they have to loose their fog lights?

Upgrading to an M Bumper doesn't mean you have to lose your fog lights.
The wiring and dash switch is already there.
An easy mod with all the led lights available.

Poor show on BM's part imo , i appreciate the air duct philosophy but a high end motor dropping "useful" features  when they could have incorporated fogs into the headlight with Xenon's aka Audi TT MK1 style :poke:

Thanks, It doesn't go out in the fog, or rain come to think of it so I'm all good.

So you'd may aswell take the wipers off too... :D

Come to think of it - what's the point in carrying round the floppy top folded down - could save a lot of weight by removing it?

I can tell the January Blahs are working overtime in Blighty !
Come on Lads & Lasses ...
Sounds like a Pub Night is called for.

the joke is the brake air duct is totally useless and does nothing but aim air at the tyre.

Yup !
Plus you have to snap off a chunk of the base of the duct to reveal 'maximum' air flow.

I also concur about the dummy headlight that could have been configured to supply some sort of additional lighting if it was actually required.

German engineering is always a cause for sober :roundel: interpretation

I suspect blanking half the hole does serve a purpose - either to accelerate the air or to keep crud out of the wheel arch!

Fog lights are pretty useless 99.9% of the time except to warn drivers coming towards you that you have cataracts and perceive fog where there is none (or that you are an idiot that prefers to drive with sidelights and fog lights rather than use your perfectly good headlights).
I'm in favour of connecting the fog light switch to a 30mph speed limiter (since driving when the visibility is poor enough to warrant the use of fog lights is dangerous). I wonder how many people would continue to use them
