Puncture

Decided to go out for a drive today, 5 mins out the red tyre light came on, pulled into the nearest garage and checked rear tyre has a screw in it... Tyres only 1 month old Have to see if i can get it plugged in the morning.. at least its in the centre of the tyre.

ive come home tonight to find a puncture!! hoping to god there is enough air left in tomorrow morning so I can run to quick fit and get it fixed, seems mine is in the middle!

Took it to AST they would not do it as it was a run flat, :thumbsdown: saw my Indie and he is doing it in the morning,,,

Grrrrr this would be my luck with my new tyres soon how do "screws" get on the road in the first place i wonder????????? :!:

Local kids in our area went through (may still be going through) a phase of screwing screws a little way into tyres under the side likely to be the direction of travel. You drive off without noticing - pushed in, puncture. Neighbour across the road went through 8 tyres on two cars in the space of a year. He knows what they were doing because he found a few more before driving off. Couple of other neighbours had issues too, but he must've REALLY pi55ed someone off... Or perhaps that's just the sort of thing that passes for fun nowadays

Well dropped the tyre off to my Indi this morning and a couple of hours later it was done now off to Cornwall in the morning for a few days...

Went through this a couple of years ago with our RX8 in the space of three months had to buy 3 new tyres all the same wheel, the last time I took it in there was three screws in the tyre... in the end fitted a camera overlooking the car and a floodlight activated by movement.. and the problem went away...

Good thing i have a security light that pops on then and shes tucked away in the corner down a dead end street so my cars never had issues......touch wood :roll:
