Proud new owner of a Z4M Coupe

Hi there,

Did all the paperwork on my new Z4M Coupe today and will be collecting it on Saturday the 28. Thank you all for the help you guys gave me on my thread.

Found this nice Z4M Coupe in Black Sapphire with Champagne leather and all the right options sitting at Specialist Cars Stevenage. The car has 550 miles on the clock and is very nice. Managed to haggle a good deal and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Now the dealer is going to fit the strut-brace in the engine bay and the iPod connection, while I arrange for someone to put VentureShield on it. Can't wait to collect it.

In the end, HR Owen Chiswick was kind enough to cancel my order on the 3.0si and refund my deposit. I also managed to sell my TT to an Audi dealer very quickly and handed it to them yesterday.

Will post pictures when I get it!

Nice one.

I'm betting you got a decent deal. Mine's depreciated £27k in 10 months :!:

Congratulations!! I have seen that car, its a cracker! Not too far from me.

Few sleepless nights for you ahead!

Congratulations! What deal did you get? I only ask as I went to see that car back in January when I was looking for a Z4MC myself! It seemed a little expensive at the time, and they weren't moving on price back then - probably explains why it's been there all this time.

But it was a lovely car, with a great spec, just a couple of £k too high for me back then.

Sounds like a nice car. I've got VentureShield on mine, seems to work very well so far.
:hijacked: over which parts of the car have you got ventureshield?

BTW congrats on the ///M, tehdarkstar

It's fitted to the front bumper, headlights, mirrors and the first foot of the bonnet and wings.

Their car was a bit overpriced compared to others I found indeed, but I told them that when comes resale what people will look for is that it is an '06/56 car, not an '07/07... That alone would knock off at least £500 of my resale value.

Other than that I went to BMWs approved used web site and showed them that newer cars were going for less than £37K, so we used that as basis for negotiation.

We started to do the normal: if I give you this I can't give you that thing and in the end I have arrived to a price I consider fair: £36950. Remembering that the car has got only 550 miles, therefore hasn't been trashed around too much and will allow me to finish running the engine in, I think it is a good deal on a very good spec.

I can't wait to get it now. It will be a long week waiting... :)

Does VentureShield look ok? I saw it installed in an AMV8 roadster a few weeks ago and I could see the edges of the film when standing less than 1m from the car.

I was also thinking on covering the whole bonnet as they ofer that as an upgrade. Not sure if it's worth it.

Would you like me to get some pics of mine?
You can see the edges of the film, but it depends on the light and how clean the car is.
The line on the bonnet is probably the most noticeable part but it blends in quite well, I wouldn't bother having the whole bonnet done.

I would be very grateful if you could send me a couple of pictures.

I have booked with Rhino Protect to take my car down to their workshop straight from the dealership so that they can apply the full protection to the front plus the rear bumper and rear wheel-arches.

The rear-bumper because people parking behind my car in the streets aren't as respectful to other people's property as they should be (or because they can't park their Chelsea tractors without bashing every other car around them) and the arches because on trackdays it's better to have some protection there as well.
