We all know that if you polish a faded headlight it looks good only for a while. Last year I polished mine and sprayed them with clear lacquer which was supposed to be UV stable. After a while they looked terrible. I took my other car (not BMW) for some paintwork and whilst there I noticed that they were rubbing down some headlights. I asked how they were finished, Two pack lacquer which is UV stable and designed for lights only. I asked how long it would last. That's it for ever, I was told.
