Looking great!
I'm loving this. Following the progress is super fascinating!
Takes me back to my days in college over two decades ago. (Art and Design)
Love that !!! Messerspit !!! Lining up the front bumper, going with a shark nose …. Also picked up some drivers for the daily’s sound system, the Faital’s were a steal on eBay, £10 each ….
Hi all, Q3 update, got it lowered with £50 FB marketplace max-speedo’s (not recommended) and on some 18” Porsche fitment CCS classics - again FB marketplace, absolute steal, I think everyone thought it was a scam. Also picked up some 19” G-power Silverstones for my daily … from, you guessed it ….. anyway here’s some progress pics
Fitted a ‘budget’ SQ system to the daily - SB Acoustics tweeters (£38 ea), Faital Pro 4” mids (£35 ea), some Musway 6” mids from a previous install, Aiyima 3 way crossovers from Aliexpress (£16 each), 2 Fosi Audio CA30’s (£118 ea) and an ESX cabriolet twin 8” sub box (£250)that fires through the now open ski hatch where I’m messing about making a proper cup holder. I can’t recommend the ESX subs, they’re the reason I bought a second amp - didn’t make much difference - cabriolets are notorious for being difficult to get bass in the cabin. Plan is either a front mount sub or fit some Dayton audio bass shakers.
Also I bought a 3d scanner and Im looking for a 3d printer. Plan is ‘sculpt’ one side of ‘the speedboat’ as the wife calls Schmidtfire to perhaps be a full re body minus doors, then on the passenger side develop a traditional wide arch kit. So 2 birds with one stone. Once they’re finished I’ll scan them and reverse in blender to print the opposite side. That’s the plan anyways. The above pics show the ‘in progress’ front wing treatment for the re body, the rear passenger arch and foam side skirt is for the traditional add on kit
