I have been offered a set of Genuine 108's professionally refurbed. The only difference between them and the standard wheels is that the problematic bright finish on the rims is powder coated silver. They look great and I have confirmed they are genuine. They can come with nearly new falkens. Here is the question What are they worth? The seller ( a mate of a mate who had a 3.0l z4 which was written off) doesnt know how much to ask me for them. He had them refurbed when he took them off the car and has had them sitting in his garage for a year. What would be a fair offer? I said I would post on here to get a ball park figure. He's moving house and needs to get rid of them by July

I'd have said if they're in as good condition as you say, then £500-600 is a fair amount. They might fetch more on ebay or the like, but you never know. I'm basing that on me selling my refurbed 108s (still with the polished outer lip) with half-worn run-flats for £450ish last year.

Got to be looking at £400 for the rims and on top of that tyres that would be near £350 new, so they must be worth £200 if really 'nearly new'

I paid 400 for a set of 18's for my last car with nearly new tyres, but then again I paid 700 2 years earlier for something similar.

What are you going to do with your MV3's?
I've bought the 108's as summer wheels, my MV2s will become my winter wheels (and winter tyres) once November comes.
Also bought a new set of wheels for my wife's 3 series for the same reason - although there she'll have the same type of wheels, just different tyres.
Quite an expensive exercise (couple of grand in total), but the major cost is the tyres not the wheels and they'll wear at the same rate anyway. Safer, plus if it does snow again (which may not happen again for years!!! haha) then at least the cars will be mobile.
