Dont know, but I guess their logic could be that if they clean it, then a week later it is back, then there is defo a leak, and it might be easier to spot where the leak is. Similare with AC leak, they often put a dye in the system then tell you to come back after a week etc so they can see where its coming from.
So it might be a genuine set of steps to locate the issue.
