Private plate help

Hi, does anyone know if you can change to a NIreland plate without paying an additional charge. My friend has my initial with z4. If we agree on a price then what additional charge would I pay . The plate is not registered on a vehicle at the moment. Been reading some horror story's about thousands of pounds tax

I believe you can import them as you see them advertised all the time in Sunday papers, etc.
It may be the case that it has to come in the the UK on the vehicle and then be transferred after. Any plate usually has to be from an MOT'd vehicle or on a retention certificate.
I'd suggest you go onto www.dvla-som.gov.uk and scout around that site for answers
