PRIVATE NUMBER PLATE *MHZ 8055* REDUCED

Hi,

I am looking to sell my private plate that currently sits on my Z4, as I have my eye on a plate for my soon to be wife. Number plate will be put on retention, so purchaser will be responsible for changing name details only. Purchased the plate to go on my Z4 as surname is Boss and it is 'Z' related. It has sat on my Z4MR and my E89 35i. I would keep it, but I won't have anywhere to put it once the new plate is purchased.

Number plate is: MHZ 8055 - looks really good on the car.

Looking for offers in the region of £649

Also on eBay now!

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking, Chris

I appreciate letters & numbers on plates can be viewed in different ways but i see 5088 not BOSS & very similar plates can be had for around £120 on the car http://www.r4v.co.uk/enquire.php?r=JRZ+9177

Hope the OP proves me wrong & wish him good luck ,
May be better offering it to plate traders :?

How can you possibly see 5088 when it clearly says 8055?

I think you need an extended eye test.

Ooops , meant 8055 or eight zero five five

I think you need an extended eye test.

If it was MRZ 8055 I think it would commaned decent wedge.

Ideally, you need to find someone with the initials MH, who owns a Z of some kind, who is also a boss.

I tend to agree with the majority. Great plate for an MH Boss with a Zed, but how many people does that suit?
Its a very limited target market and i would grab any offer over £300 TBH.

I tried to sell my late Fathers plate J6 RGJ for £300 and never managed it. Even through I was told it would suit hundreds of ex soldiers from the Royal Green Jacket's regiment plus all those people with RGJ initials. I let it expire in the end.

Thanks for all the comments guys...Mr Wilks, not sure how you got to sobb or 5088...but i 100% agree that plates are a very personal thing to people, they are also worth what someone is willing to pay...but forum rules dictate that all adverts have an asking price...so there it is. It will find it value (whatever that may be), thought I would offer it here first has it was 'Z' related plate, but it will probably go onto ebay eventually, possibly make its way to a dealer...For anyone who is intrested, all offers will be considered...

You're correct Bossy to be honest. Forum rules dictate a price and you have put one.
Anyone interested will make you an offer relevant to their desire for it, so it will naturally find it's own price.

Good luck with it.

BOSS plates also available here: http://www.premier-plates.co.uk/registration_plates/search/BOSS with some as low as £155!!

I own 2 dateless plates. I really don't like dated plates and they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.

So if someone is only willing to pay £200 for that plate well it's only worth £200.

The thing with dateless plates is they increase in value regardless because they are rare, can be put on any car and they look clean and don't need to be illegally spaced to look good.

MHZ 8055 is a irish plate. As such it isn't anything special. Plenty of BO55 plates which suit people a lot better for example.

BO55 ZED
BO55 JAY
BO55 MRK

etc, etc.

MHZ 8055 looks like megahertz boss to me which IMO unless you work for an IT company or are into IT it's not appealing at all. Or you have the initials MHZ and Z is hardly a popular initial for a surname.

Therefore I'd stick this up for £300 and let it go. It's not worth much at all, you will be lucky to get £300 for it.

The 2 plates I own are ### 91 and ### ###. The 5 digit dateless plate is worth around £4-£5K. The 6 digit dateless plate is worth minimum £1.5K but it spells something completely unique (albeit immature) and to the right buyer could go for stupid money. However unless I get that right buyer I will never sell it as it will increase as the years go on.

Anyone looking to buy a personalised plate I would urge you buy dateless. They are IMO 100 times better albeit more expensive, they really suit the job of a personalised plate. A dated plate with 7 digits just looks like any other plate.

### ### seems like a pretty unique plate indeed

I didn't want to post them up on a public forum but obviously the # represent a character.

### 91
### $$$

where the $ represents a number. I'm hoping to move the 91 one onto the Z4 soon. Should probably go through the paperwork tonight tbh.
