Pressure Washers

Budget ?

I have a Karcher, but mine is from the era when they were great products and solid brass components. The newer ones of the lower end ranges are no longer great so I hear.

For a Karcher, you now need to buy the professional range so it seems to get some decent quality.

I have a Nilfisk, cost me about £70 and runs from a water butt as I have no mains water near my garage. Works fine, plenty of pressure and flow for washing the car. Also came with accessories including a very useful shampoo holder which sprays the car in a thick foam.

For £150 I would look at nilfisk over karcher as you will get a metal pump, where as the karcher will be plastic. I have a nilfisk E130 but from memory it's nearer the £200 mark.

Yes, that is what I meant that the cheap Karchers are now plastic instead of the solid metal one that I have unless you go up into the pro range, well outside your budget range.

£150 will buy you a nilfisk c120, plenty powerful for car cleaning and comes with a 2 year warrenty, £80 -

Spend another £45 on this -

and another £15 on this -

All in at a shade under budget and you'll have a reliable pressure washer and a sparkling motor everytime

The Nilfisk c120 is the one I have. Works really well, still like new after2 or 3 years, and at a very affordable price. :)

My dad swears blind by his cheapest you can buy special from aldi/asda/Argos wherever. Seems to do the job well and cleaned my brick drive up a treat .... Took ages to fill the damn cracks in with sand again!

But being cheap then only seem to last a couple of years so I guess you pays yer money and takes yer chances. But at <40 quid for the odd bit of car washing they seem to do. ESP if your going to buy a low end karcher

I bought a refurbed Karcher, not as good quality as they used to be but I paid around £60. worth a look http://www.karcheroutlet.co.uk

I've just brought a Nilfisk E140 as winter on the way and I'm very impressed with it. Priced around the £200 mark.

Problem is that once you have had a certain make, you have to stick with it as all accessories will only fit on that.

Mine is a KEW - bought it over 25 years ago - a lot of money £240 ish way back then and it still going!

Probably another shed load of cash to buy the same quality now! But you have bought a BMW and not a kia picanto.

I tend to buy the best I can sensibly afford.

Bumping an old post here...

I was just browsing through the Amazon "Lightning Deals" and they've got a Nilfisk C120 3-6 on offer for £79.19

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003M8H6U4/ref=gb1h_img_c-2_0167_A13UN3JSTTWGZA?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0YCWN63Z6VMCM2ZK1VG3&pf_rd_i=350613011&pf_rd_p=359370167

Does that seem like a good deal to those in the know??

Yeah thats about the going rate for a c120, thats what i paid for mine last year, sometimes they come up a little less, sometimes a little more
