Prepping a 60s Police Jag

Back in the 60s my dad was an advanced police driving instructor and on the M6 motorway traffic division. I recently got chatting via Facebook to a chap who worked at the Police Garage at Stafford and mentioned a batch of eight 2.4 MK2 Jags they took delivery of in 1969 and that he made a film at the time of him prepping one of the cars for Police service. Thought I would post the film as interesting snapshot of the mods they did to the standard car in the day. Note lack of crash barriers on the M6 in the film. What a time that must have been if you had an E-Type. The dayglow film on the bootlid I think was pioneered by Staffs Police following an officer fatality in fog in 1967 as at the time there were no speed restictions on the motorway. Interestingly the cars were delivered with the 2.4 litre engine but the police soon rejected these as deemed underpowered and the engines were swapped for a 3.4 litre. I'm guessing to keep up with the baddies who favoured jags at the time. Ironically the Jag featured in the film my dad used to pick me up in from infants school  One of these cars still exists today reg plate 319G which has been restored and is now kept by a motor museum but is still used at shows.
