Lynchy and I met for lunch today at Brands - sunny day, I was off, he was having a slacker's Friday, why not. Whilst we were there we came across a car park full of BMWs, apparently for a corporate event BMW are holding over four days next week. Took a few photos for you all because there were a smattering of quite special cars there...

Blue M2

Blue M2 & i8. There was another blue M2 you can see further back that had the performance pack - all cf bits, very nice.

White M3 - those wheels are lovely

The M2 with it's BMW Indivdual M4 friend, a car I think I would kill to own. I got childishly excited about this beauty

Sadly this is not in the weave itself but is a translucent vinyl strip... Still quite cool though I thought...

There were M5s, more M3s, lots of X-whatevers, a lone i3, about 6 or 7 i8s (which did not stand out as you would expect or like them to tbh), quite a few 'normal' 5s and 7s. And then this shy and retiring wee thing tucked along one edge :D

Check out the the size of the front brakes - those are 20 inch wheels ! I think the brakes are carbon ceramic as they looked dull and almost finely crazy paved... And the pads must've been at least 8 or 9 inches long :o

The icing on the cake was this one though - Techno Violet is back ! This car was STUNNING in the metal in the sunlight, the pics don't do it justice.

The interior didn't do it for me personally, but the outside was breathtaking.

Love the blue M2...nice ! I can't agree with you about the alloys on the white M3 though. I think they are hideous. I was looking at some the other day on a Yas Marina Blue M4 and imo they don't have that BMW M 'feel' about them...more of a Halfords one ! However, Techno Violet was one of my faves back in the 90s and looks stunning on that M3...fantastic !

Some tasty BMs on show today. I had to drag Bing away from the yellow M4 though which was a bit embarrassing as the security were getting a little suspicious

The M3 was stunning - if it had, say, a black interior with bright violet hand stitching the way the M4 had all the yellow detail inside then I think I would have probably fallen for it instead. You can't really tell in the pic, but the white leather interior really was awful.

As for those wheels being a bit Halfords... Hmmm. I see what you mean, but I still like them. There are a few more Halfords touches on the cars too now... For instance, the seat belts on the M3 and M4 were black but with two of the M colours in a strip all the way down them. And the interiors of the the M2s looked underwhelming - much cheaper looking leather than the other cars, textured not smooth, the seats didn't look like they gave much support, and the interior 'cf' bits were all very matte - we reckoned they might be leather weave like in the Z4 Ms... But it looked cheap and nasty. the cf splitters on the front bumpers and rear of the side skirts on the performance modded M2 were luuuuuuverly though. Wish I'd gotten a picture of them :headbang:

Weirdly, neither of the yellow or the violet are available to spec on the BMW website :?

I am actually hiding in the woods up the hill right now.... Look out for some sideways roundabout dashcam footage later :ninja: :driving:
