Pre wiring for autochanger?

Having read a recent post on the fitting of a multi changer, it got me wondering if my 04 car might be pre wired for one in the same way as it was for the Cruise Control. I have searched previous threads for info but cant seem to find anything. Does anyone know if this might be the case? I have seen compatible autochangers around for under £50.00 plus the fitting kit which might make it worth the job if it was pre wired. It fits in the cubby right?

No, but look for the satnav retrofit thread or my Intravee fitting thread. I show the pictures of removing the parts to get to the cable (needed for the intravee as well), so that should get you going.

You may need a new centre cubby section in the cubby to take the CD changer (mine has 3 sections) - if you do it's a big job as you need to remove a lot of the trim to get at it. Not sure how difficult that is.

Before you do anything else do search on "changer" and "sticking" or "jammed" or "stuck".

Then look up the iPod AUX mod - a fraction of the price and gives you a lot more choice of music.
 
The dismantling is about 30 minutes in total, I did Raify's car in a pub car park :)
