Pre Purchase Checks

Guys - have updated my pre purchase checklist to reflect recent matters highlighted on the Forum
BUT please if your buying and for your own sake CHECK THE VEHICLE THOROUGHLY....!

Several issues already raised on here:

Bought a second hand Zed and the airbag light was on - seller said they would fix only to find it had been covered over with black silicone........ :o
Was told it had a full service history and now I've purchased no documents forthcoming from the seller...... :cry:

Some people have said they wouldn't do all the checks I have listed (Wouldn't bother checking the CD play..... :!: ). Your money - your choice but there are lots out there and checking a CD player function takes seconds - but £s to put right after purchase.
Please enjoy the Zed you purchased and reduce the number of posts starting, "If only I had checked when I purchased...' :|
 
Good stuff Alan, the forum does seem to have a higher number of problem posts rather than enjoyment posts of late.

Try flicking onto the Alfaowners site Tom :oops: literally 9 out of 10 posts are problem related & after a few weeks of that i stopped visiting . Was depressing tbh :?
Still think Z4's suffer relatively few faults ( compared to many other cars ) but as they get older more problem's will of course arise mainly through higher mileages some owners scrimping on routine maintenance :wink:

Good tip on the Cd player btw :thumbsup: my wife's one & only task when we view a potential motor together
 
When I bought mine the advert didn't state that it had a multi-changer CD player and the seller didn't mention it.

Discovered it a few days later. I thought: "well, this isn't going to work" but it did perfectly.

I have no issues at all with the Zed since buying it in in April this year. I am one very happy bunny! :D :D
 
Haha I only dare imagine Mr W! Probably enough to have made you part with yours. But as always, this Pre-flight check list from Alan is the first thing anyone should look at! It has done me well with both of my Zeds.
