Pre-flight questions

This is priceless:

Someone in the office is answering the Foreign Office's pre-flight questions that allow you to fly to the States. I'm not making these up.

1. Have you ever been convicted of an offense of moral turpitude?

2. Are you involved in sabotage, terrorism? *

3. Were you, during 1933 - 1945 involved in acts of persecution in the Nazi Party? **

So, after checking on turpitude at dictionary.com (depravity, base behaviour), it makes me wonder:

* Are they trying to catch the really dumb terrorists who answer the question "Purpose of visit?" with "International terrorism."
** Is there anyone left, who has avoided detection for 64 years that would accidentally tick that box?

I've answered those same questions about 15 years ago so nothing new.... and that was just crossing over to the US from Canada for the day :o

Isnt there also a line underneath them that also states something along the lines of 'Answering yes to any of these questions could limit your entry to the country'.... no sh!t....
