Mentioned this in another post but thought I would share how easy it is to get back 1000's of pounds that you are owed (My Mrs had actually ticked "no" to PPI on a Lloyds loan but they had put it on anyway).
1. Dont use a claims comapny
2. Ring every company you ever had a loan, credit card or overdraft with (my Overdraft was only 1500 quid but that got me £4317 back as they have to pay 8% interest on anything you paid over the years up to the date they refund you), all you need is a post code
3. Be honest with them, there are loads of reasons why it was mis sold, dont be afraid of saying you dont remember, some of mine were from 2001 and its for the credit institution to prove you were not mis-sold not vice versa
4. Wait for your cheques, I will hit near on 25-30k and I did not even realise how much I had been mis-sold over the years!!
5. I repeat DO NOT USE A CLAIMS COMPANY!!!
