Power steering issue

Hello,
My E89 Z4 2016 travels 78k miles and I have not changed its battery. However, I am having a power steering issue. Whenever I turn to pretty much full left lock the electric power steering turns off and I get an amber warning in the middle of the dash. I tried turning off the xlcar and starting it again and it's fine.

Is there anyone having the same issue?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
There was an issue with some power steering motors but I believe that they were around the 2010/11 manufacturer year, the motor can easily be removed and sent off for testing/repair, but the first step would be to have any fault codes read, it’s always a good investment to buy a code reader, ideally one that’s specific for BMW and not a cheap “Aldi special”
