Power steering fluid change

Power steering fluid change has any of the M owners changed the power steering fluid themselves

If so where is the best place to break into the system to drain most of the fluid out the obvious answer is the lowest point.

Any help is appreciated as it is on my list of things to do

Never in my car ownership life did i ever figure out how to do that job without making a mess, using a gallon of fluid. The only way to replace it with complete fresh fluid without allowing it to mix with the old would be to disconnect the car's reservoir and connect to a tank with lots of fluid. Disconnect the return to the reservoir and into a pan. Start the car and turn the wheel lock to lock a couple of times to flush all old fluid off the system while preventing to allow any air to be sucked in. Stop the engine, reassemble the pipes and refill the reservoire. In other words: a right faf.

Happy to hear of other alternatives, though

No real reason to do it. The fluid doesn't degrade like engine / transmission fluids, not generally hydroscopic or subject to rust sludge like coolant. More hassle than it's worth.
