After umming, and ahhing, I finally took the plunge on one of these.

I do a lot of electrical work/fault finding on my own and family vehicles, so after watching countless reviews, decided I needed one, or that's what I told myself! (man maths)

Snap On are the UK supplier for these, but even with discount, my guy wanted £257! Ordered from an Ebay seller, and even with shipping & import taxes, it still only came out at £167.60! It also arrived in 5 days, whereas Snap On was a 2 week order, from the USA...

Have used it a few times now, and I am impressed.

I really, really need to curtail my tool addiction!

And here's me thinking it was going to be something to use on recalcitrant neighbours :|

Amazing tool!! very useful for quick checks before I get the big guns out (oscilloscope etc).
Be warned though (and Im sure you know what I'm going to say), the potential for damage putting 12V to somewhere where it shouldnt be is very high!
Seen many cooked computer drivers inside of ECU's after the careless power prodding :(

But I'm sure you are educated in all this.
Andy.
