Potential Z4M purchase

Good morning,

I am looking to get back into Z4 ownership and will hopefully have first dibs on a 3.0si from a forum member. However, I have always wanted the ultimate - a Z4MR.

This one has just popped up, it is up on miles but the price looks good.

It does not have sat nav but appears to have everything else other than extended leather. Does this seem like a good bet or is it worth paying £12k for a lower mile example?

Thanks

Dan

Tyre kit is missing as well.

It is a very bare bone model, no extras except heated seats, no cruise, no wind deflector, no folding mirrors, no bluetooth (some after market thing), no PDC.

Good morning.

That looks like a lovely car, although no mention of previous service history. This may (or may not) be an oversight. Seems like excellent value for money.

From my own experience, I bought my Z4M with 80k on the clock and it feels so tight still. Just completely solid and strong.

With rare cars, mileage is always a talking point due to long term owners hoping that their cars may turn into a long term investment, but if it has been looked after then this kind of mileage certainly doesn't impose upon the integrity and build.

You need a good chat with the owner and get a feel for how the car has been maintained.

PS - the ultimate would have a roof on it ;)

Viewed this car last night as i'm in the market for an //M, it's in a very good condition, there's slight curbing on one of the alloys but that's about the only bad thing. I'm hoping to buy it as soon as my car is sold if it's still around.

Hi,

Nice looking motor albeit a little too hhiny interior and under the bonnet for my liking.

As previously mentioned a few extras missing but ask yourself if you need them and when it comes to selling will people want them.....?
No real mention of the cars history. I would expect a service book, old MOTs, invoices, and when the inspection II was last done. Also when the brakes and discs were last done as these items can be expensive....something to consider for future expenditure.

The leather does look shiny, but you could sort the leather out in an afternoon make it look nice like out of the factory with some basic leather cleaner.

Its amazing what a little TLC does.

Is this car based in the SE? If so it's a forum members and I looked at last summer. Has a sweet sounding engine and the owner is genuine.

EDIT: It is. Thread here...

Bing,

Thanks for the link - it seems like it was a good buy last year so maybe another good buy this year!

Thank Inkey - Bing is the ugly one :D
