Potential swap 123d for Z4 3.0i (or cash)

Hi All

Looking for a manual 3.0i Z4 with mileage of approx 60k don't really want to flex on this, the only extra I'm interested in is xenons and or the speaker package (think that's a thing on this model!) neither of these are a deal breaker however as I don't care for options.

I'd be looking to spend £5k (ish) however alternatively as the ad suggests I have a 2010 space grey 123d coupe with 64k miles that I'd consider swapping (with a few notes my way) if somebody is looking for something more economical with a new longer commute etc. (Basically the opposite of what I'm doing) if that is of interest PM me and I can send pics and more details no problem.

Essay over!

Good luck OP!

I had a 5 door 123d for over 6 years before I saw the light and bought my first Z4 Coupe - straight 6 petrol is a different world! (That is why I ended up with a 325ti Compact as a daily). And having survived over 80K miles with an N47 engine and no cam-chain issues I felt it was a good time to bail out of that impending disaster (then BMW subsequently came up with the Quality Enhancement b*llocks - too late losers)!

If I ever had to go back to one car that was half-way practical I would only consider a 130i or a 125i Coupe with a re-map! The N52 engine is fantastic! (Well until the electric water pump dies! :o ).

Thanks for the reply Mr Tidy, with me not doing the mileage I feel it's a good time to jump ship and get in a 3.0
As you said different world although the 123d is pretty surprising! My oil gets changed every 8k as this is the best way to combat the timing chain issue. Kind of why I want the simplicity of the old 3.0i when things where mechanical!

Not a big fan of the 1 series hatchback shape despite the 130i cracking engine. Although for decent spec you're looking at £8k these days! as for the 125i nice engine again but too slow for me.

Hopefully I can get one sorted soon!
