Potential newbie coming from lotus

Anyone changed from Elise? I am hoping to get a z4 m coupe this week, subject to couple of viewings this week. Interested to know how people found the change. Cannot wait to join the club! Thanks
 
Yep - came from an S2 111S. Great car but wanted something more usable more of the time but I guess you know what I mean. I looked at the Z4MC but decided that the 3.0si was good enough for everyday use and I couldn't really justify the extra cost. Good luck with your search - you won't be disappointed. :thumbsup:

Not far off, lack of track days and crappy roads, and rattle heaven. Looking forward to a big engine too. After selling my pride and joy of 5 years looking to get something to ease the pain!

Great stuff! I cannot wait, was hoping it would keep with my mates t350t and 997 as need to keep up on road trips lol.

Good to see a active forum, I have been checking classifieds every hour since sale of Elise yesterday!

Good man, yes got one to view Tuesday, and left messages with two more. There is a nice one at Munich legends. Saw a m roadster today and with the weather I am not surprised you got it.

What car have you come from?
 
Came from a 2.5i Z4 Roadster, and although I love the look of the Coupe, I could not live with myself if the weather was like this too much and I couldn't have the roof off. Where are you in the world, what was the one you saw?

After Elise want a complete change except 2 seats and love the look of the coupe. Except I will miss having the roof off or down lol, as even in winter drove with roof down.

Just in park lane BMW. I am in london, but use my cars in Europe as roads in London are crap.
 
I also loved a bit of chilly winter roof down motoring! Already got two trips to south of France planned, best thing in the world do it every year as much as possible! Well as I say you won't be disappointed!

I had a VX220 Turbo and it was the longer drives that pushed the change. I did an straight run to Monaco in the VX and it wasn't nice. Same thing in the M is a breeze and this year going down the German side to avoid the French speeding risk. Once down there the VX was immense but with no carpet and alluminium floor and sides it was like sitting in a Bacofoil tin with the roof off and a sauna with it on and I'm too old and used to some comfort for that any more. Haven't regretted the move to the MC once.
