Pot hole.... petition

Does anyone have legal knowledge on how get the ever increasing pot holes sorted. Seems everyone I know has incurred some sort of damage or expense. Small government petitions get ignored saying its a local council issue whilst Councils blame the government cuts.
Personally I would like to see a UK wide petition or road blockage, but I doubt the people's resolve.
:headbang:

Yes I have hit two in my daily in recent weeks. Happily it's light car on 16inch rims so they just feck my teeth up. I had to replace two tyres as a result of pot holes last winter.

Any one can start an online petition. If it gets enough support then it is automatically discussed in parliament. I'm sure some one will know the figures. :)

Lost a tyre on my wife's car last week. Could understand on her old JCW mini with 18 inch wheels with 35 sidewall but this was on 17 inch wheels with 50 sidewalls. Very annoying. Seems a yearly expense lately.
I think the tipping point for a parliamentary review of any petition is 10000.

Good luck with that as you'll need it!

What it'd take is a revolution and line the streets with politicians hanging from the lamposts before anything would be done. Folk would miss Ant and Dec on Ice Factor in the Jungle on the Island of Love talent show so it'll never happen.

Anyway there's the sunlit uplands and unicorn fields of Brexit to negotiate first before the streets are lined with gold and they fix the roads. Perhaps fill the potholes in with the unicorn sh*t?

But hey Blue Passports, BLUE ones made in Poland by a Franco Dutch company. Taking back control & fooled by a bus FFS!

Skelters....you've hit the nail on the head really, and you make a good point. But it doesn't mean we can't try.
It's supposed to be power to the people, but it takes people that are willing to try.

Well on paper we did, but maybe not in reality just yet!

Although I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that - but not on potholes. :(

Well, we managed to get Brexit through, so yes, anything is possible

It's the transition period so although the leave date was 31st January or whatever it was the English elected Government still has to abide by EU rules and costs without any say. As anyone with half a brain cell knows all they'll do in the so called negotiations is faf about, blame the EU then leave without any deal and blame the EU. They'll also blame the EU and after that they'll blame the EU. So no, nobody has managed through Brexit yet!

Can only hope Nissan, Honda, BMW and all these big companies leave and there's rotten fruit in the fields, food and goods shortages, mass unemployment and the further proliferation of foodbanks. Bring it on and lets hope it really hurts as that's what they voted for!

Maybe after all that people will wake up to these idiots and eject them from power for good.

Rant over!

Plenty of soar fruit there then

I'm in Scotland so there's a different agenda going on here no matter what you might read in the press or hear on the TV. Tick Tock!

I'll have a word and make sure Z4 drivers get preferential treatment at the future English paid for border. Visa's should be no problem and there'll be a group discount on them. e89 and Coo Pee and g29 owners might get extreme rubber glove treatment though just for a laugh!

So it looks like your definition of a Z4 owner means an E85 owner then. :?

Hopefully marauding Scots raiders on booze-cruise missions to Northern England will get the same degree of examination in that case, especially if they have a car with a pram-top! :P

Yes of course. If it's not an e85 then it's not really a Z4. :poke: :fuelfire:

Did you see the rubbish that the Tories in Moray were coming out with by any chance? Pretty much similar to what you've said about booze cruise missions. They had said that they often drive to the north of England to get a cheap bottle of wine! Elgin to Carlisle and back is 537 miles and over 10 hours driving! Someone worked out that to make it pay they'd need to have about 4 articulated lorry's full of cheap cider then sell it for a profit. Liars and fools!

Unit pricing for alcohol will be coming to England as the Tories are copying the Scottish Government policy that the English parties in Scotland wanted and then criticised when it worked. It is different from minimum pricing which is already in place I believe.

You forgot to add Ford into your crazy little rant  Hanging in by a thread currently on the outskirts of London.
