Position of wipers

Right i'm new to all this Z malarky.
Can someone tell me how their wipers sit when they switch them off ??
Mine seem to go right down and then pop back up a little so you can see them from inside the car, is this the norm ??

Cheer JJ

No, that's the first sign of impending doom for the wiper motor
It's not that bad but you will need to remove the motor and clean up the "park" contacts, happened to mine couple of weeks ago & is fairly common-do a search on here & you should find a how to guide.
Regards

Was just about to start a thread about this, Mine seem to obstruct my view sometimes and if im on the motorway it can be quite bad now and again they sit properly, does this mean i need a new Motor for the wipers?

Usually a clean up gets them working ok again, it's just the internal grease withing the motor getting where it shouldn't & the stop command gets lost/diluted

Try this for size

I've just had a look at a thread on here on how to do it, looks nice and easy :)
I best get mine done myself, can't be arsed to have a 150 mile round trip with the cost of fuel to try and get it done under the 3 month warranty I got with the car

It's not a huge job, think it took me a couple of hours including tea drinking & cleaning the area around the motor
Get yourself a wiper puller though as I wouldn't have fancied my chances without one.
Regards

I think others have managed without one but it's probably easier to take the engine out......

 hahaha i'll see how it goes, I might even have an hour or two and make a puller in the garage :P
ya can't beat a good bit of tinkering. I best get under car too and pop out the drain bungs for the hood and see if their blocked :|

I use net curtain wire which seems to work well, curtains don't look so good crumpled on the floor though
Seriously, the bungs themselves can be clear-it's often blocked at the top. Lower the roof & pour some water down the open bit at the sides to see if it pours out the bottom.

 Lol
Do you go up from the bottom to clear yours ?

Yep, although it can be difficult getting the wire to the top sometimes, I'm sure there's a dog leg section in the drain somewhere
Couldn't clear a blockage on my car this way last time I did it & resorted to digging around from the top until I got soaking feet as it cleared!

Yep, roof fully lowered & pour the water in where it looks like the roof frame pivots at the sides off the car-it will run off the hood material & go down the drain compartment anyhow.

Arrr I see, its just that when the roof is down you seem to see bugger all and I have no Idea where to poke :?

I didn't mention seeing! You have to be like a marine & carry this out in complete darkness....it's not the most user friendly design
