The Clio driver clearly nudges the Porsches rear off side at Barn corner and could have caused the porsche to spin off. The Clio then tries to force the Porsche off the racing line approaching Coppice. There clearly isn't any where for the Renault to overtake at that point and he should have backed off and waited for an alternative overtaking opportunity.
Looking at the footage twice I noticed that the Porsche was definitely blocking and not allowing a "sporting" overtaking opportunities to occur which is pretty pointless and clearly created frustration with the Clio driver.
The Porsche driver would have been aggravated by the contact at Barn. The Clio driver by the earlier blocks.
Guess both drivers were "in the zone" and were making 'poor choice's'
It all ended in tears for the clio and could have been a really serious crash for the Clio driver. Fatal even :(
 
They were both driving like arses, but that Porsche driver didn't just nudge the Clio back, he nudged, then pushed the Clio fully onto the grass towards the pit lane & the wall. I'm sure he wasn't thinking, red mist blah blah, but he might as well have aimed that car at the wall and could've killed the other driver. The shot from the car behind is horrifying. Anywhere else on the track and the Clio would probably just have spun or hit the barriers ; I reckon if the Clio driver had died then the Porsche driver could well have been at least tried for manslaughter given how deliberate the move was.
 
Bing - granted, a socket set was sent with the important bits (engine, drivetrain etc) :tumbleweed: to the us of a, but that's like saying the tamiya model in my living room is English because I assembled it?...

The porsche is imho still on the racing line when he pushes the clio off the track. He is on the dry side of the track (where all the other cars drive) and the car behind filming is also on that side (it's just after the corner when it happens). He moves over to the wet side to close the door for the overtaking clio.
It may have been a 'racing incident' but the porsche clearly forces its way on a very dangerous point.
The crash and state of the car proves that.
If you 'invade' the racing line, you can expect that the car in front of you will follow the racing line (driving you off the track if you don't back off), but here I think that is not the case (not yet, further on maybe).
Still the driving style of the clio was 'similar' (the bumping in the corners has no purpose), only the outcome differs.

I don't think the porsche driver ment to push the clio of the track (just holding him off), but when they come in contact the porsche goes sideways.

Narrow track, dangerous to race I think.
 
Clios and their shiney oversized petrol caps belong in supermarket car parks after closing time.

On a serious note that Track is way too narrow and congested for such rank amateurs. Clio driver had all the signs to read from the forward driver's behaviours and ignored them all. It's all about judgement and the Clio driver couldn't really have got it more wrong. He should not have instigated the manoeuvre and paid the price for his mistake. I'm pleased he lived to tell the tale and learn a valuable lesson.
 
I have watched this a few times now with an open mind and it looks like after the porsche touches the clio he is just trying to keep his car from spinning.
It looks like the cause is actually the clios as the porsche cannot straighten up after they touch as the rear has been pushed out of line.

My take on it that the Porsche was unsettled as a result of the contact by the Clio, and was still trying to sort it out when the Clio tried to barge his way down the inside. Why he was going to the inside when the nest corner was a left hander is beyond me, he should've gone left and stuck his Clio on the racing line for the next corner. It shows a massive lack of talent and experience from the Clio. Also the Porsche driver did seem to be blocking at all possible moments, so both at fault in some shape. Surely you'd simply stick to the P car's bumper, wait for him to make a mistake and then pounce, golden rule of racing.
 
I drove Cadwell a couple of months ago and as you progress along that straight the natural line is to move over to the right to position yourself for what is a very quick left hander. So the Porsche was moving onto the racing line and it was a naive attempt at passing by the Clio in my opinion. Glad everyone is unscathed apart from bruised pride. Cars can be replaced.
