Pop Quiz - the revenge!

Just wondered, does anybody 'Google' songs and artists that they do not know? I do and it's good to listen to music I normally wouldn't listen to.

I did not want to clog the original Pop Quiz thread, hence this one.

Yes, I do on the back of the other thread.

Mostly if it’s an artist I know/like but don’t recognise the song or if it’s something/someone I’ve not heard of at all.

I’ve discovered a few things I really liked but I would’ve been unaware of them without the thread

Hell yes it's a great way to find new songs you never heard of, as well as looking up classics from your youth and enjoying them again.

I try too listen to the song I'm posting even its a bit cheesy and I'll take a look at other peoples if I've never heard the song before :D

The playlist would make a great radio station. My Spotify has put on a bit of weight.

A bit off post, but I was watching Foo Fighters/Dee Gees doing "You Should Be Dancing" earlier.. I've never got those lyrics, so finally looked them up! https://youtu.be/p4DeaXf1FzE

I work from home and sitting at my desk I have music on constantly, I've always had an interest in music and luckily at an age where I've listened / appreciated lots of different types of music styles and artists. When I was at school I got 98% in a music exam and the head of music wrote a letter to my parents saying I should take up an instrument. On my long walk home from school I dreamt of violins, pianos and saxophones. My dad read the letter and said leave it to him. Two days later he presented me with a mouth organ, if you can play that you can play anything... my future music career was squashed in an instance🤣

Glad this thread exists along side and to compliment the main thread.

Tone deaf, knows a good tune when I hear one, tried playing the recorder in early years at school. Flicks around the radio stations while out nationwide in the hgv.
Will not entertain Christmas songs.

A mate has coincidently just sent me this - a list of the top singles when we started at secondary school. Just about to go on Spotify to look up the 3 or 4 I can't recall.
