This morning the battery light flickered...Then about 2miles later EVERY light on my dash popped up...and was so jerky and stuttery. Then a RED stop so i did in the middle of the road. (as you do) Pushed it over to a safe place. Restarted and it was fine...

Battery??

More like a bad electrical connection somewhere, especially if it restarted. If it was a dead battery it wouldn't have had enough charge to restart. Possibly alternator overcharging?

I was watching from the window couldn't believe the truck was for the Zed, thought it more likely it was the French cars on either side,

Mine did a similar thing the other daym was fine after 5mins. Annoyingly didnt store a code either, so we don't know what it was.

I had a M3 that kept doing exact samething, BMW Assisst could not find a fault, after 5 seperate call outs they agreed to replace the battery although BMA said battery was ok, nether had the problem again???
