Poor bloke

Believe it or not, this was mentioned on today's breakfast TV news.

I know it's tragic for the owner and he/she is probably mightily embarrassed, but it's hardly first world news is it? Would it have made the news if it was some cheap Korean car?

I can only assume that it is a slow news day.

With all the crap currently going on, nice break to see something less doomsbringing in the national news.

Why I like our local news, other day the headline was 'our reporter live in a village, looking for a story because there's bugger else all going on'. But yes, slow news day indeed.

Sounds like a driver with plenty of money and not enough skill, surely you'd go very easy driving your new Ferrari on a wet road, the first time you've driven the car and possibly the first super car?

it was probably the only factual event reported.
I don't watch the news - if I want half-truths and fiction I'll read a novel.

Poor bloke.... Fucking lucky bastard more like, judging from those photos he could have very easily been brown bread

Got further than the guy who bought a GT3 from Porsche Tunbridge Wells many moons ago who lost it on the road outside the dealers giving it the beans resulting in coming back down the bank into their car park and wiping out a couple of other cars ......

I'm the same myself, got bored of listening to people self promoting and spouting lies a long time ago. I have to listen to enough of it at work, don't need to listen to it in my free time. Besides we have the forum for news. Far more entertaining after a little forum filtering.

For me you have to be a spectacular bell end to lose a £200K car in the first hour. Take it easy and practice the levels of grip in a dry open area. Even pootling around a track for £200 would have been cheap in comparison.

My sympathy-o-meter, reads zero..!!

How can you call him poor if he can afford a 200k car
More stupid or uncareful and rich...

I bet he did...wonder what type of excess is applied to the 'free' insurance. When I picked up the MC, I had 7 days insurance but didn't even think to look at the excess. If he didn't have gap insurance that 1 hour drive will likely cost him £20k....
