I know it's tragic for the owner and he/she is probably mightily embarrassed, but it's hardly first world news is it? Would it have made the news if it was some cheap Korean car?

Why I like our local news, other day the headline was 'our reporter live in a village, looking for a story because there's bugger else all going on'. But yes, slow news day indeed.

I'm the same myself, got bored of listening to people self promoting and spouting lies a long time ago. I have to listen to enough of it at work, don't need to listen to it in my free time. Besides we have the forum for news. Far more entertaining after a little forum filtering.

For me you have to be a spectacular bell end to lose a £200K car in the first hour. Take it easy and practice the levels of grip in a dry open area. Even pootling around a track for £200 would have been cheap in comparison.

I bet he did...wonder what type of excess is applied to the 'free' insurance. When I picked up the MC, I had 7 days insurance but didn't even think to look at the excess. If he didn't have gap insurance that 1 hour drive will likely cost him £20k....
