I've noticed discussions about getting Z4's back on the road, taking them off SORN etc. This made me wonder, how many of us use our Zs as daily drivers? :driving:

I did a pole a few months back, it was overwhelmingly daily drivers. I use mine 8 days a week :D

mine is very much a toy, 3rd or maybe 4th in the pecking order

Daily is a 520d, weekend classic Triumph Stag, weekend out with the boss 420d convertible.

the Z is really for me to get to and from work on nice days. Bit over the top I know but will do about 3000 miles just to and from work between now and September weather depending

I'm considering getting a second car for daily driving while my Z still has low mileage (35k) but I'm not sure when I wake up in the morning and look at the daily and then look at the Z I would ever use the daily, unless it was an M3, M4 or M2.

Spoilt for choice atm.
Extended loan of a Tesla P90D means that the zed has been relegated.
I'll be taking delivery of a Mercedes Sprint van from the same client to travel between Hamburg and Vleuten for the next 6 months. Unlimited mileage and diesel expenses so I'll be abusing that like one of Jimmy Savile's totp invitees

Usually yes, been using my motorbike (bmw of course) for work duties the last couple of weeks though :)

Yep, it's a daily, used all year round... though not every day as I don't commute in it anymore, but it's out whenever I need to go somewhere without both other members of the family.

Mines been a daily also second car when I had a company car and now a weekend toy while the golf soaks up the daily motorway commute :driving:

Daily drive but thinking of getting a mini cooper s as a second car for driving the kids around while the missus is at work.

Mine used to be. Then I got married and we bought a house with a "garage" which was a novel idea after moving out of London. Always said I would give her some rest once I got a garage. So I did. Now I have a 330d estate as my daily and workhorse!

So not a daily drive. Rest of it was unwarranted.

Considering the same car! Or a Civic Type R.

Rest of what was unwarranted?

Nope mines a toy, but it does more miles than my daily, so no garage queen. Trip to work is only 9.5 miles each way and that's not far enough to warm the car up properly. So nice to get in from the office. Park up the Mazda, open the garage and pop out for a drive and a walk on the moors in the Zed. :D

My Z4 would be my only car if I didn't have to provide hospital transport, etc. to my 95 year old mother - even if she could get into it, she wouldn't be able to get out.

So my daily 325ti Sport does that job - sort of a pre-facelift 2.5 Coupe but with rear seats!

My E86 and E46 share the daily drive workload. The E30 is totally spoilt and only comes out on nice days.

Mine is 3rd choice, ( garage queen I suppose ) high days and holidays only, I wish I had time to drive it more.
