Pogo Alert in a Z4...?

Hi all,

I've picked up a little Pogo alert scamera detector and now I'm wondering where's the best place to fit it in my Coupe? :?

I'm quite happy to do a hardwire, so that's not a huge issue.

Anyone got any pics of their Pogo in situ to give me some ideas...?

Nige.

Is there a way to mount it in front of the gap between the two instrument clock faces?

Otherwise just put it on the far right of the steering wheel in the gap between instrument binnacle and a-pillar (that's where I have my sat nav).

I've got a fully installed Pogo alert to the right of the instrument binnacle similar to where mmmmfive has his. I'd take a photo for you but BMW have my car and i have no idea when i will see it again. In fact they have now called me 4 times in 3 days to ask why my car is there and did i know it had a parking ticket on it! If i ever see it again and resolve the mystery parking ticket fiasco, i'll do a photo. Might have to wait a while is all.

IMHO Pogo is the best and the placement where i have it is the neatest, particularly given the slope of the z4 dash. I also have the optional separate infrared thingy and that mounted to the left of the rear view mirror, nice and tidy.

Thanks chaps, your replies are much appreciated.

I did look at the gap between the binnacles initially, but it would involve extensive butchering of the Pogo and I think it may obscure some warning lights. Would've been neat though.

I think the option of to the right of the wheel near the A-pillar looks to be the best one and the route I'll end up going down.

I like the idea of mounting the infra red laser sensor up by the mirror too. Shame your car is away from you Outrun, sounds like I'll be making an identical installation and it would have been good to see your setup first. I'm also wondering why your car has been at the dealers for what sounds like an age - I'll do a bit of thread searching to find out as I know how much it grates if folk keep asking what's up with the car if it's a long term issue.
