So I have this Ipod I use for all my music in my car (and elsewhere), what exactly is a Podcast?

Greg - a podcast is a short 3-5 minute video for the iPod. You can sign up for some through iTunes. Other's you get get from websites such as bbcworld.com etc.

There are short clips from The Man Show on iTunes and then there are the news podcasts from different sites etc.

Lots of the BBC ones are on iTunes - I get the Mark Kermode movie reviews in every Friday. Fighting Talk (sports) is good too.

Much better quality than trying to listen to it on Five Live anyway.

Yep - iTines has lots of free Podcasts on it. All the major news sites have free podcasts on it etc.

So this podcast then is downloaded to my iPod and I play/listen/whatever, such as music videos? How long can I keep them and if I don't like then I just delete them from the library & iPod?

You can keep them for as long as you like - or you can have iTunes delete them when you've listened to it, or keep the last x number of them. If you keep them all, you can also selectevely manually delete ones you don't like too. It's a very flexible system.

I tend to keep them all, and then delete the ones I'm not interested in keeping. But I only sync unplayed ones to my iPod on the basis that I only really want to listen to them once and need the space on the iPod (nano) for other music.

Usually Music videos are not free. You have to pay for them.

Check out the iTunes Podcast directory - check out the popular ones. Or, jus tsearch for what you like...

- Vodcast from BMW
- BMW Audio Books
- Podcast form BMW
- BMW TV

etc. etc. etc.

BMW themselves do all these, and loads more.

I find the BBC ones really good - professionally done, as you'd expect! So many podcasts are very amateurish!
