Please someone help xenons

My drivers side xenon does not work. I have swapped the lamp and the ballast from passenger side and still no joy

I have checked fuse boxes glovebox and engine bay.

Not sure what to do next

what i do know is i had a misty headlight over the cold months and silphaned a small puddle from inside the headlight.

any help would be much appreciated as i have mot in 3 weeks

Just fixed mine - water damage in the ballast and replaced it via ebay. If you've had a small puddle I expect its the ballast that has suffered, as water pooling in the base of the headlight will just travel through the connector into the ballast (pretty poor design IMO) - have you tried removing it and checking for damage?

You will need to check three components - Ballast (underneath the headlight, will necessitate bumper removal to access), igniter (connected to the bulb) and the Xenon D2S bulb. Have you confirmed all 3 of these are fine?

My mistake i presumed the ballast was connected to the lamp. ok so ballast sits underneith the light?

Taking the bumper off isn't a huge job, just need to be careful with the clips at the sides over the arches. There's a good guide on here in either the e85/86 problems, or the how-to section

+1 once you've done it for the first time, it's then a 10 minute job...
