Please can someone tell me what this is.

Today I decided to give my E85 2.2 engine bay a spruce up and found this siting loose. It looks as if it fits over something but I can’t see anything it would go with. It’s about 25mm in length. Thank you in advance, Mike

It's a rubbery plastic thing that has a groove as though it fits over something like an edge but the gap is too wide for any metal lip I can find. Just hoping it is nothing important that I have dislodged when I was cleaning.

Thank you bigwinn, that's great. I can see another one towards the front. I can't make it stay in as it's not tight enough, will a little glue be okay or is it okay to leave it off? The one at the front is wedged in by the plug lead but this one just falls out.
