Plastic welding xenon headlight

Has anyone had good results using this method,I donโ€™t really fancy buying new units if I can help it.

Yes I did. I used a thud kit. Superb Sealey SDL14 50W Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Plastic Welding Repair Kit https://amzn.eu/d/doI5Xyq

Just make sure you use the correct plastic stick. The lights are marked up. Might be PP or ABS

Also use the staples first the plastic. Some good videos on you tube๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
 
I might be wrong but I'm sure I saw something on here about replacement bracket pieces that fit over the original location of that broken piece.
Anyone else? Or was it all a figment of my rampant imagination? :lol:
 
100% right there are replacement kits that are very good

Get the right side when ordering but have all 4 replacement brackets needed per side

Phew, early-onset dimentia anxiety....alleviated.

Thanks guys,is this a genuine bmw repair kit,if so I can add to list of bits I need,are the bits available on their own,although Iโ€™m up for a bit of plastic welding also Reamesy ๐Ÿ˜‰

Get the repair kit as already said, very simple repair and works very well
