Pioneer VREC-150 MD front and rear mirror dash cam

Anyone got one or have any knowledge of one of these. Looking for a front and rear dash cam for my newly acquired E89. Also pleased to hear of any recommendations.

I’ve got the BMW approved and fitted kit - only Front camera on the Zed but integration is BMW approved so no cutting / splicing / piggy back / fiddling the harness. I went down that route as I bought both cars new and didn’t want any argument in fault scenario.

There is rear camera (BMW) in our 335 but in all honesty, the rear camera is rarely looked at other than the odd inquisitive look to ensure it still works as it should.

The installation is non intrusive and very neat in both the Zed and the 335 and I’m currently looking at the possible installation of the surplus rear camera into my Z

Thanks for the information Ron. The issue is with the rear cameras location .When I had my 3.5is I had a cheap dash cam outfit with the rear camera fitted to the passenger seat hoop. It worked quite well but picture quality wasn’t wonderful. I’ll do some more research. I’m sure there will be something out there.

I use a Garmin 57 on the front and Mini 2 in the rear through the rear hoop

Very small and neat fit

Video quality is very good on the front and more than adequate for the purposes of incidents on the rear
