pinking

when i bought the car it was pinking when going up steep hill slowly, put several tanks of v power and did not notice it, recently had no choice but to use esso premium and today its pinking like a pig(no pun intended) again. no fault codes showing and according to the book it should run on ordinary unleaded, has anyone else experienced this

If you do a search it's been talked about before, I have noticed very few times when mine has done it, but havent noticed since getting the head replaced (different reason)

why not try a bottle of Millers octane booster and see if that make a difference?
