Don't know how many of you saw this.
Last year the Pikes Peak became a fully tarmac course, Peugeot decided to have a go this year and dragged Sebastien Loeb along.

Power comes from a 3.2-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine developing 875bhp. With a total weight of just 875kg, the 208 has a power-to-weight ratio of 1000bhp per tonne.
Awesome engineering in an purpose built car, plus arguably the best driver in world, destroying the record.

I've driven past Pikes Peak a dozen times, might have to take a drive up there next time. but not in under 9 minutes !! That was intense...

A front tire blowout would be fatal, yikes.

I had the pleasure of driving up Pikes Peak back in 2005. Such an awesome road that doesn't really serve a lot of purpose!! Quite entertaining on the way down with heavy thunderstorms in the distance making it very dramatic.
