anyone want to donate your factory M muffler at a discounted price?
...it seems like a lot of work re wiring the battery, amp, and then cutting the bottom ... wow lol
there was a M rear bumper on ebay a while back and the idea(knew it wasn't happening) hit me so i just wanted to see it for my self ...but i'll still tinker with it. afterall, thats what will make my car, MINE
I got my stock mufflers laying somewhere. How much are you willing to spend? But seriously, why are you thinking about getting the M mufflers? They certainly don't sound very good. My M sounded quieter and wimpier than a regular Z4 and I know a lot of Z4M owners who are familiar with regular Z4's will agree with me. That's why so many of us couldn't wait to change out the stock mufflers with Supersprint, Eisenmann, etc. M stock mufflers aren't light either, and are VERY prone to rust. And of course you already know how much trouble it'd be to do the underbody modifications. I think you really would be better off getting other aftermarket mufflers like ACS, Eisenmann, Supersprint, Remus, etc.

With the new bumper, you'll need face-lifted LED tail-lights, and then you'll need to get face-lifted headlights/module/wirings/programming in order to get the lighting system to work properly. The entire project might end up being very expensive. Not trying to discourage you from modding your car; just letting you know what you might be getting into.
you are doing a good job though at discouraging lol
It is a lot of work but I was planning on simply fitting the axle back system(or cat back) and cutting the bumper and underside but that is also indeed a lot of work
meh I do like my factory sound..the deeeep sound seems like my muffler is LOT bigger than one of the M mufflers making that Deep sound
