well another awesome track outing at curborough, lovely to meet lots of nice people, got to drive the m as intended on track so heres the pics!!!
all in all a brilliant day!! car behaved perfectly, but i can honestly say the standard contis are shite!! by my second lap the car felt very unstable as the tires heated up, i tried one lap with the dsc off and the car was really moving around way to much for my liking, especially for a track with literally no run offs, anyway the ///m had an awesome day on track, and i was very lucky with the weather!! some awesome cars their tbh!!

Looks like a cracking day, wind in the hair as well 8)

Unusual to not have to wear a crash helmet on a track day.

i suppose as it was a members sprint i dont think it was compulsary, for those of you that dont no, this is curborough sprint course, and my god was today a good day, the weather really made the day ace tbh. Its always a pleasure to get the car out on the track!

Recognised Curborough in an instant. It's owned and run by my village (Shenstone) car club :) and about 4 miles from home.

Not really a race track as it's just a big 'U', but a technical little sprint and great day out. Had my Zed on it a few months back and loved it

Did you manage to scare yourself approaching the molehill with the car all unsettled???

it was alittle scary but have driven curborough a few times so im getting to know it well, the car felt good but sadly REALLY let down by the contis!! hopefully they wont last to long so i can swap them for some falkens or michies ect ect

I can't see how the Conti's could have let you down after only a lap or two as that's less than a mile at Curborough, whereas mine were fine for 15 laps of Oulton Park before they started squirming - maybe you're just 'over-driving' the car :poke:

Nice shots

Tempted in checking this place out, and giving the motor a run round it. The lack of run off areas is off putting, but will likely do the sprint school course to start.

How often do they do track days there?

The club is run by Shenstone and District Car Club. Check out their website:

They do introductions to sprint that are good for beginners. Basically turn up, be shown the procedures for sprinting then do a few sprints in your own car under instruction from a regular.

Good intro.

the standard contis are absolutly cack! if i was overdriving the //m i was doing well!!! lol , the tarmack temp got very warm, plus curborough is a very technical sprint course, the standard tyres 100% werent suitable to that track at that temp.

The car Really behaved faultlessly, the brakes really withstood some big stops, the handling for the ///m really was nice, very neutral and balanced, i would love to try the car with the lighter CSL wheels and some mich ps2 or similar!

All in all a fantastic day, fantastic people, i have got 3 videos of the car being run, with an in car vid, not very good but a good indication of the day ect ect i will post them later but ive litterally just walked in from my trip to the sandbanks!!

Would just like to say that's my ideal car, looks lovely - if I could find one in that colour the Mrs would never know I'd changed!!

I swear if I got the same colour she'd never know. When I put the M alloys on mine she didn't even notice till I pointed them out. Bless her, she has no interest in cars what so ever :o Silver does seem quite rare when it comes to the M but I do love the colour - not that I'm biased but I do love the way the body lines are highlighted when it's sunny.

She's mentioned the word that brings fear to my heart - kids.... so I've said I want a Z4M before I need more than 2 seats!! Every cloud has a silver lining

That looks a lovely motor - I'd stuggle to explain the red seats, even the Mrs would be hard pushed to miss those. The red leather looks fantastic in my opinon. It's gonna be around September when I'm looking to change all being well but something like that is spot on. There was a silver one on autotrader recently so I know they do exist!
