No worries,I don't know just by looking at the lights,I think the easiest would be the headlight control switch on the right side of the steering wheel,as the Xenon's don't have the height adjustment (done automatically).

As you won't know what you're looking for if it's not there... basically with halogen cars there is a beam height adjustment wheel (numbered) next to the interior backlight brightness adjustment, the wheel controls are side by side and identical in size and shape. If your car has xenons you won't have the second wheel. There are also warning stickers under the bonnet with xenons. But what navid.v said is the easy give away. That and whether you can see driving at night!

Ive just checked the interior pictures and I have only one wheel as you described. I am guessing then that I must have xenons !! as no height adjustment.
Maybe the dealer wasnt lying after all.
