Pick up my z4 today

Hi,

Just a quick hello to everyone!

I pick up my 03 plate 3.0i z4 this afternoon, really looking forward to owning it as I have been after a z4 for a very long time, and its taken me almost as long to find one with the spec I wanted on it...!

Its a 3.0i in grey idenitical to the one in the right hand side of the forum header. Its got M/sport suspension, Professional sat nav, tv, and all the other usual bits found on a 3.0i.

On another note, does anyone know if its possible to add external inputs into the tv tuner? like a DVD player? And is it possible to get the TV unlocked so you can watch tv in motion?

Sounds great - let's see some pictures as soon as you get it....

All the ancills you mention can be added in and there are far better experts than me on that stuff once you decide what you want.

Comment on the TV - first if you have it then it will be obsolete when the digital switch over takes place and 'TV in motion' on a 3.0i sports car - get real.....Even if you live while watching a movie and driving you will get a ticket in 5 minutes watching in a traffic line with the monitor on top of the dash.

Thanks for all the replies. As promised here are some pics of my lovely new z4!

Has anyone had any experience with fitting TV in motion? Or know where its possible to obtain the appropriate cables? There seem to be lots around for 3,5,7 series, but very few for z4, and I'm not too keen on sending away my tv tuner to have it unlocked somehwere. 1. I dont trust the post enough to send anything valuable, and 2 I'm also unsure of sending it away to a potential dodgy backstreet workshop which I have never heard of. Any help, much appreciated.

I know its not legal, and am not intending to try to watch tv whilst driving as thats completely stupid, but it would be excellent for a passenger to watch whilsts stuck in slow moving traffic, stop starting.

That's a really nice looking Zed. :thumbsup:

No suprise I say that I guess as it's identical year, colour, engine, interior ally / seats, accesories to the one I purchased a year ago, before I somewhat changed it. I'm sure you're really going to enjoy it. :driving:

On the TV in motion I'd contact Martin at bimmernav.com They list it as avaialble and I have used them tio supply 2 bluetooth retrofit kits to me so far. Very helpful. Incedentally if the driver can see the screen regardless of if they look at it then it's an endorsable offence. Don't ask but suffice to say one of my mates is still smarting from the pull......
