Piano Black Style Dash & Console replacement

Number5

Following my post yesterday I've had a few enquiries asking if I can supply and install Piano Black style Trim to a few members cars. So, here goes....

I can remove and replace your existing Dash and Centre console with a High Gloss Black version, emulating the OEM Piano Black option.

The deal is that for £225, I will :-
- Supply the 3 new gloss black parts (Main Dash, Headlight switch surround and appropriate centre console)
- Remove your exisiting trim and install the replacement black parts
- I retain your old trim. (as replacement stock)

Whilst the dashboards parts are all the same, there are many combinations of Centre Console as some have no Sport or Airbag button at all, some have one (or the other) and some have both. They also vary at the back around the Handbrake as some have leather padding and some dont, so it's important to let me know which model you have so that I can ensure I have one here painted & ready.

So, from this:

I usually do jobs on a Saturday or Sunday morning and estimate that the job will take about 5 hours in total, but if I can speed this up, I will reduce the future cost.
I have a double garage in which to do this whatever the weather and am located in North Bristol, right by the M4/M5 Interchange, 5 minutes from The Shopping Mall at Cribbs Causeway, so if you want to lose yourself for a few hours, we can drop you (and a partner) there and pick you up when the cars ready, as we have done with a few people whose Roof motors I have relocated.

Just to clarify, I am not supplying OEM Piano Black, but a high gloss black lacquered finish, professionally applied by a car body shop, on what would previously have been an aluminium trim, but it looks equally has good.

Just PM me if any your interested or have any questions.

Very tempting

(Alan, I've moved this into 'Discount codes and Forum Services')

OK, thanks Colin. I just put it under parts as it was a part replacement, However, it no longer appears when I refresh "new posts" ? Is that section not included in the sweep?

I believe the Discount codes section is not included in 'new posts'

The oem piano black trims seem to go for quite a lot so this seems like a bargain! Looks like a nice finish.

Having this done on monday :D
am looking forward to the transformation.

Had this all done by Alan yesterday.
Top job, and certainly transformed the interior from the brushed aluminium.88F778AD-D14B-4FF9-B657-1CF902D12663.jpeg

£225 is a good deal.

I did this myself about 18 months ago as a personal challenge to get rid of the wood. I had never attempted anything like it before and I estimate it took me 12-14 hrs spread over a few days (one clip took forever). It does require a lot of trim to be removed. My local body shop charged me £80 for spraying.

To get a feel for the amount of work involved read my thread. Incidentally, BMW quoted me £1000 for the 3 trim parts in piano black alone, I nearly fell off my chair!!

Thank you for the endorsement. As with all of these things familiarity is the key and when you know what is actually holding a component in and where they are, it makes things a lot easier and a lot quicker.
We've all been in the situation where we've removed 50 screws and it won't budge, only to find that you only needed to undo 3 screws in total, one of which you've missed !

Piano Black Trim looks really so much better than the Silver/Ali imo. This is one thing I don’t need to look for on the new purchase then if it can be retro done on a drive out one day

Good service. Hope to be in touch in due course

Hi Chaps
Sorry, I've only just seen the recent posts Yeah, happy to do a PX on it still
As long as it's only surface marks and not bent or dented.

I'm busy for a few weekends but ok end of the month onwards

I carried out a Dash swap and fit for Tadek on the weekend. I forgot to take a Before photo but did remember a During & After picture.
