phone mic problems

im having problems with hands free talking....i dont have i drive...but i have the 'enhance' phone pack...not that i bother using that...i just connect my phone to the system and away i go...anyway people keep telling me the sound is awful...they can hardly hear me...i either sound very far away...or the noise from the car/road sounds really loud...obviously hard to check for myself.
anybody had problems like this?? any ideas how to fix it??

Roof up or down? Roof up I have no issues with people but roof down can be an issue given external sounds..

roof up...down doesnt surprise me....but yeah...roof up...windows closed!!!

Have you tried someone else in the car and having them call you to see what it sounds like? If it's that bad there might be something wrong with the mics and off to the dealer you go..

What phone are you using? I used to have a blackberry and had people say they couldn't hear me all the time, no such problems with my iPhone now.

It may be related to the version of software on your phone rather than the car.

Yes give it a whirl, also worth checking what version of software your phone is on, and checking the bmw website to see if you have the correct version, some phones you can download the software updates from bmw.

looks like this was a good call...(pardon the pun)
when i put in s3 mini it says
Voice quality
Limited functionality:
The party can only hear the driver unclearly.

so i'm gonna have to change my phone i think!!!
