hi folks
just a question on my iphone ? plugged in with a aux y cable but not working? i dont have usb just aux do i need to get a snap on adapter?

also can some one tell me why when i been out on car and i come back close door it makes a sucking noise from roof ??

Welcome, it think the aux cable is for other types of devices than a iphone ie mp3 player the aux output on the iphone is for the headphones, but i could be wrong and someone may be along and correct me.

the noise from the roof will be the air pressure from inside the cabin, thats why the windows drop slightly when you open the door to relieve the pressure inside to make it easier to open and close the doors.
 
I use BMWs Aux cable with an old iphone 3g and it works fine, I haven't tried with my iphone 5 as yet although I've just bought a blue tooth receiver which I've paired with my iphone 5 and will plug it in the armrest connection so I don't need to plug the phone in, Z4 is tucked away in storage again due to this damn weather so haven't tried it yet :x

The sucking sound is when the door glass goes back up into the rubber seal.

OP: Aux input should work. 3.5mm jack from aux to 3.5mm jack on headphone socket of phone. You will need to manually select aux in on the car.

DEKA: Noise from roof/glass dropping is nothing to do with pressure.. you made that up didn't you? ;). The windows drop as they insert into the roof rubber to seal. If they didn't drop you'd break the glass getting in. OP: The sound you hear is simply the glass moving on the rubber.
 
there is no cabin preassure and yes it is a z4, the noise only happens when i close the dvr door then a couple of seconds later hear a sucking sound possible from roof? thats why i asked if any other members had the same thing? its not really a problem just curious?
