Perspex/Glass wind deflectors

Has anyone fitted a glass or perspex wind deflector? if so are you happy and which one?

I am thinking of buying one as I do not like the lack of view in my rear view mirror
 
Mine came with one, the previous chap had bought it. I haven't really had it on much to be honest as I prefer the look of it without anything there at all. However it works well, is clear other than the very slight tint so vision is fine. One thing I don't like ... Another reason why it is only on if the gf is in is it straps with clear strapping around the hoops which I hate, plus at night with the roof up you'll see reflections from the heater panel lights. I can get a picture of mine from a few angles tomorrow in the light if you haven't seen one close up?

EDIT ... Sorry just realised this is about e89 , not that it matters in this case.

I'd run a search as its been covered many times. Some love em others hate em.

I declare I'm in the oem camp as mesh functions and Perspex just creates turbulence and draughts
 
I've got the Roadster Solutions perspex deflector and really pleased with it,

I wasn't keen on the OEM deflector as it looks a bit clumsy to me :| The clear ones are more subtle.

Plus you can leave them in all year round unlike mesh ones which really restrict rear view in dark conditions. Just wish there was a fitted one which screwed into existing fittings like they did for previous SLK.

Windschott do one which I think may use the existing fitting points, however its quite a bit more expensive than mine as I think the deflector is glass rather than perspex, looks good though.

I've not taken the mesh out in 2 years (apart from for cleaning) don't need to see out of the back, it's too small anyway.
