Performance upgrades Z4

one could always change the final drive if 0-60 is the answer - who actually uses the upper ranges of the top speed?

I would have thought a 3.0 SI with a 2.5 final drive and a lsd would be a pretty rapid car - might even stay with an m

(is preparing to be shot down in flames and exposed for knowing bugger all about cars ...)
Iam sure I read some where that yes it would make it quicker but you have to change up to third just befor your reach the 60 mark instead of just after it but in the real world that prolly wouldn't matter to much I could have read wrong though .

180bhp is easy enough, ST170 engine and ECU! lol But 220bhp is not cheap... Head work (if not a ST170 head), cams, throttle bodies and a remap or standalone puts at £1500-£2500+

But yes there isnt much to be had out of our engine's without going FI.

yeah.... i didnt say it was cheap. :) just possible. you can get a standard silver top up over 220 without needing the st170. just will require chuff loads of work. dont forget the exhausts too.

ive always wondered if you could do similar with this engine. surely there is some horses to be gleaned by having tb's head/cams exhausts etc for 3.0l. i know its not a cheap option but if you were after a hobby car/track project there must be some milage in it.

hmmm wonder what nitrous would be like in the westfield?
